With over 14 years of professional experience and hours of repertoire, all events can be accommodated; whether it be a company event, dinner party, reception, or holiday celebration.
John Paul’s international career has taken him throughout the United States and Peru, from small local venues to celebrated concert halls. His current recital programs draw from a blend of classical guitar repertoire, Peruvian folklore and original compositions.
Though John Paul has principally performed as a soloist, he also enjoys playing in groups. His experience includes: duos with violins and flute; accompaniment for voice and flute; concertos. He also embraces many genres: Andean folk music, R&B, rock, pop, and West African pop, just to name a few.
John Paul has been recording and composing since 1996. This includes both personal and contracted projects. Contracted duties have included playing requested pieces as well as composing, playing and producing music for video.
After playing weddings for over fourteen years, John Paul has gained a tremendous appreciation for their beauty and complexity. As a provider of music for the wedding, John Paul does as much as he can to help make the music-planning process as easy and pleasurable as possible.
This begins with a free music consultation, which includes sitting down and listening to possible music choices for the ceremony, as well as talking about the desired ambience and the possible musical styles to compliment the ceremony. John Paul also offers arranging and/or learning of up to three songs at no extra charge.
Additionally, John Paul also provides a high quality PA system for larger weddings or outdoor events: a must-have option for those acoustically unaccommodating areas. This service can also be extended to the speakers of the ceremony, MCs, and recorded music. [Limited to weddings in the Inland Northwest]
