My primary goal as an instructor is to provide an attentive, patient environment where students can learn the relevant technical, theoretical, and musical skills to play the music they love. Whether it is classical, rock, pop, folk, jazz, etc., I adapt my lessons to the student's musical interests, learning style, personal pace, and emerging strengths.
Additionally, I challenge my students to explore music in all of its facets. This means not only playing and listening to new music, but also understanding the importance of self-expression through art and performance. Students even have the opportunity to play in public at my quarterly student recital. (See up-coming performances for the next time and location).
From the aspiring professional guitarist, to the hobbyist looking to just have some fun on the guitar, my most important goal as an instructor is to help make the student's desire to play into a reality.
